By the end of the thirty-fifth month, your toddler will probably:

Mental Development of 35 month old child

  • Listen eagerly when a story is being read
  • Like to hear favorite stories repeated again and again
  • Ask questions constantly
  • Be eager to carry on a conversation
  • Recognize his name in written form and identify at least 2 of its letters
     

Visual Development of 35 month old child

  • Closely watch pages while turning them
  • Be able to look without staring
     

Growth of 35 month old child

  • Weigh about 13.7 kg (girl) or about 14.2 kg (boy)
  • Be about 94 cm in height (girl) or about 95 cm in height (boy)
     

Motor Development of 35 month old child

  • Build complex structures with blocks
  • Be able to cut with scissors and paste with glue
  • Have become more skillful in dressing and undressing himself
  • Have become more agile in use of playground equipment
  • Jump from the bottom step
     

Social and Emotional Development of 35 month old child

  • Be able to entertain himself with a variety of activities
  • Be able to help with simple chores
  • Be more orderly and organized
  • Still be impatient at times, but  more willing to wait
  • Tell lies or fibs sometimes
